Plaque unveiling for the International Rotarians

On Friday the 15thMay 2009 Rotarians of the International Rotary Club The Hague Metropolitan gathered in Westbroekpark again. This time they were not in their gardening outfits but ready for a special ceremony.
Wethouder Baldewsingh and representatives of the municipality had invited the Rotary Club to honor them with a plaque for their regular clean ups of the Park.

The Rotary Club The Hague Metropolitan meets up regularly in Westbroekpark to pick up what others have left behind. On the occasion of one of the last clean ups they invited Wethouder Baldewsingh to join. He was happy to support this green initiative and impressed by the commitment of the internationals towards their adopted home town. About 80 participants from around the world had gathered for the las t clean up.

To honor the Rotarians dedication Wethouder Baldewsingh unveiled the plaque and thanked them for their commitment to community service in Den Haag and for supporting the Den Haag Green Year 2009.
The members of the Rotary Club The Hague Metropolitan are delighted to be honored this way by the city of Den Haag.

They welcome supporters from other organizations for their next clean up of Westbroekpark.
