Photos from the Fund Raising Concert for Destitute Children in Romania

On June 1st the RCTHM held its annual international fund raiser at the Koninklijke Schouwburg in The Hague. Some 500 guests attended a concert of works by Romanian and Argentine composers, performed by three Romanian musicians living and working in the Netherlands and the Amsterdam Cello Octet. The evening raised €15.000 for the Foundation Speranta which is building a centre for disadvantaged children in Bucharest. The project Orizont is a complex that will provide training, job opportunities and housing to young people with handicaps and learning disabilities.

With this successful event the Club continues its tradition of organising a major charitable event each year. The club is grateful to all patrons and sponsors of the concert, in particular the management of the Koninklijke Schouwburg who graciously put the theatre at our disposal.
