Talk by Professor Ruud de Mooij

Julia introduced our speaker of this evening, professor Ruud de Mooij. Professor the Mooij is both a professor in Public Economics at the Erasmus University and a senior official at the Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis.

Professor de Mooij had the audience spell bound with his clear and concise explanation of the economic ramifications of the greying of the Dutch population. In a lucid manner he sketched the various choices that are open to us.

Huib gave the vote of thanks and Julia presented our speaker our standard gift. After the meeting was closed several members commented that the Netherlands could count itself fortunate to have brilliant young minds such as professor de Mooij at its disposal.
