(Partners)-ROTARIAN GOLF TOURNAMENT in Wassenaa - Sept 14th 2010

In a break with our usual routine this weeks meeting was not held at the Crowne Plaza but at the Rozenstein Golf Club in Wassenaar. At the initiative of John an old club tradition was renewed and the golfers in our club were given the opportunity to play for the Ted Knudson Trophy.

This trophy is named after one of our club's charter members, a devoted golfer who showed his dedication to both the sport of golf and our club by donating this trophy when he left the Netherlands.

This year, for the first time, spouses were given the possibility to play for the trophy as well and it is a fitting sign of the forward looking spirit of our club that this year's winner of the trophy is none other than Nimmi Madan.

Four non-golfing members were given the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the sport by taking a golf clinic. According to Rosenstein's golf pro our member Huib showed the greatest improvement during the one and a half hour's lesson.

Julia being out of the country, Giuseppe chaired the meeting. Badri proposed a vote of thanks for John who organized a wonderful sportive occasion. Compliments to our fellow members who braved the less than perfect weather conditions.
